A Viewing for a Child? Should I go?

My mother's coworker's 3 year old died after drowning in a pool. my mom asked me if i wanted to come to the viewing with her tomorrow. I said no because i just couldn't look at a child in a casket...its just...too sad. but now i think i should go and pay my respects and that maybe it would be a mature thing to do. What should i do?
